Garry is a Licentiate of both The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).
He started a short professional career in photography just after leaving school and worked for several studios, newspapers and public relations companies in the few years before deciding on an alternative career in engineering.
Although his professional career in photography was short he gained valuable knowledge in most areas of the commercial photographic industry both as a working photographer and process worker including, mass processing, press work, PR and public relations, general studio work, as well as fashion, wedding and product photography.
After his change of career he retained his passion for photography and worked part time as a wedding and portrait photographer. Then, after early retirement, decided that photography would again become a full time interest. He is now a dedicated amateur winning major awards in both national and international competitions as well as lecturing on digital imaging.
Garry says: “After completing the rounds of competitions and exhibitions most of my images would be stored rarely to be seen again since they are all mounted 50x40 cm pictures. But, having discovered Yophoto books this is no longer the case because I can quickly and easily put my work into books for posterity. The books are very easy to make up using the software provided and the only limits are my imagination. The quality of the finished book is excellent and is true to the original image in every respect. Add to that an economical, speedy (I receive my books within three days), friendly and efficient service I couldn’t ask for more. I truly end up with a piece of work that I can be proud of, and now, after completing several books, most of my pictures are easily to hand for presentation.”
